A few useful details
What picture formats can I crop?
PNG, JPG, WebP and GIF, up to 20 MB. GIF exports as a still PNG. Unsupported images show an error so you can try another format.
Which size should I choose?
512 × 512 is a useful starting point for a crisp square avatar. A larger export cannot recover detail missing from a small source.
Does the preview exactly reproduce Discord?
These are size and circle-mask previews, with an approximate status-dot position. Discord's interface can vary with client, theme and location.
